Rules
Season 2011/2012
- Entry into this league means full agreement with these rules. The committee reserve the right to deal with any matter not covered by these rules.
- Matches must start for 8:30pm PROMPT. If an opposing player is not present by 8:30pm then they will forfeit one frame, and again at 8:45pm if two players are not present they will forfeit another frame. If four players are not present by 9:00pm then they will forfeit the match. If matches are claimed the match card must be completed by the players present.
- Home team must break and referee the first frame, then alternate until the match is complete. All disputes, the games must be completed, the match card must be signed and the dispute must be highlighted for a committee decision.
- All teams must supply a referee who is capable and competent.
- Matches consist of seven games, five singles and two doubles. Two league points available for the winning team. £1.00 per game won will be awarded to each team at the end of season presentation night. Teams level on points at the end of the season in the champions or runner up position will have a play off at a neutral venue.
- Registration of players will take place at the first monthly meeting. The first team each player plays for will be the team of that season. There are no transfers.
- Teams can sign players up to halfway through the season by registering at the monthly meetings. Any team wishing to register new players after halfway is a committee decision.
- The home team is responsible for the match result to be phoned/text to Danny Jary on 07597927139 on the same night before 12:00am. (midnight)
- Games cannot be postponed/re-arranged without a valid reason and including committee consent. This decision must be authorised at a previous meeting. Teams not conforming to this rule will be deducted points.
- Teams that fail to turn up to three matches throughout the season will forfeit any rights to prize money. Should any team not turn up to an opponent a fine will be enforced for the sum of £15.00 this will be paid to the opposing team landlord/landlady, and will be collected at the following meeting and passed forward to the team in question.

Due to the inconveniences all fines will be strictly enforced - This season the committee will be asking for a £20.00 raffle donation from each team in the league, the committee will also be asking each team in the league to sell a required amount of raffle tickets to help fund the end of season presentation, and to keep the current league fees down.
- Each team will be required to buy seven (7) presentation tickets through the season. At a cost of £5 each.
- Teams must ensure four players attend the end of season presentation. Failure to do so means teams will forfeit their right to any prize money. The committee will enforce this throughout the following seasons. All moneys will revert back into the league.
- Any outstanding debts will be deducted from prize money.
- This season the Individuals and Doubles K.O. early rounds will take place on Wednesdays, the latter rounds will then be carried out on Tuesday nights so the league fixture can continue.
- The knock-out rounds must be played on or before the dates specified.
- The semi-finals and finals of the Individuals and Doubles K.O. will take place on a Wednesday night, dates and venues to be arranged in due course.
- Please avoid slow play at all times, failure to do so will result in a warning from the referee, the referee's decision is final.
- In doubles matches players can confer with each other without any player addressing the table. The player in turn is the only person who can address the table then all confering must cease immediately. Time wasting will result in a one minute warning from the referee to play a shot, if persistant then a foul stroke will be awarded and continuous foul strokes as necessary.
- This season the team K.O. will exclude the league winners, runners up and third and fourth place. The remaining teams will play at the end of the season.
- All winning trophies from the previous season must be handed back at the last monthly meeting, any damages to these trophies will result in costs for the repairs/renewals.
- Only if the white goes in-off on the break will result in a one shot penalty only, however, failure to make a legal break (except from above) will still result in a two shot penalty.
